Tin City excavates the buried architectures of militarism within Europe’s democratic heart. Through fragments of found footage ‒mannequin heads spinning in empty bars, banks, and shops‒ a German news investigation uncovers a replica town hidden in a remote forest in north-west Germany. Built by the British Army to train soldiers for the war in Northern Ireland, this artificial “Little Belfast” becomes a chilling metaphor for how colonial violence is rehearsed, exported, and endlessly adapted to new geopolitical frontiers.
