Phoenix is assigned by his supervisor from the Ministry of Innovation and Change to assess the impact of the COVID-19 crisis in Europe, in order to create risk scenarios for the German economy. He embarks on a journey where he must overcome personal and professional obstacles to fulfill his work assignment in a world yearning for change.

Marc Wagenbach studied theater, film and television and gained his doctorate in Media Studies and Aesthetics from the University of Cologne. In 2007 he became assistant to Pina Bausch and was appointed to be Research and Development Manager of the Pina Bausch Foundation from 2009 to 2013. In 2014 he founded Ekeby, the International Research Center for Contemporary Arts in the Netherlands.
