ΚΑΤΕΡΙΝΑ ΜΑΡΑΓΚΟΥΔΑΚΗ / KATERINA MARAGOUDAKI
Τhe lakes of Prespa, geographically located in the north-west of Greece and borders Albania and North Macedonia, is a unique ecosystem of world recognition, with at least 1500 species of plants, hundreds of species of birds and the largest colony of silver pelican in the world. The documentary highlights the nature, history, culture of the area, through interesting stories of residents, routes on historical paths from antiquity to the present day and magnificent Christian images. It also captures the modern life, the innovative ideas and the initiatives of the local organizations for the production of local products and services, seeking, through a cinematic look, to highlight the elements that make Prespa unique.
Androniki Christaki studied acting at the Athens Conservatory. she participated in productions of the National Theater, in TV series and movies. She directed performances at the Faust Theater, the Ancient Demitriada Theater and the Apo Michanis Theater. She coaches actors for theater and cinema. She lives and works between Athens and Germany.
Katerina Maragoudaki has designed the lighting for more than five hundred and fifty theatrical, dance and musical performances in Greece and abroad. She has also worked as a cinematographer in many feature and short films, TV series, documentaries, theatrical videos and commercials. Since 2005 he has been teaching at the Department of Cinema and Television Photography of the New York College of Athens, while he regularly gives lectures and seminars at university and theater schools. She has received many awards for her theatrical lighting and for her cinematography in short and feature films.
