13 AAGFF - Open Call

The Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival invites you to submit your films!
NEW DEADLINE: 21.08.2024

The Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival, which aims to showcase the most innovative and ground-breaking voices of world cinema, launches in its 13th edition the new competition section Reframing Images, which will screen first and second feature films, medium-length and short films (without the limitation of 1st or 2nd film) by filmmakers from all over the world, who are experimenting with new forms of storytelling.

On this occasion the Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival and the Greek Film Archive are collaborating with ARTWORKS, which through its founding donor, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), will support this year’s ARTWORKS Best Film Award, with a cash prize of 5.000 euros for the director.

The Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival is the only festival in Greece that focuses exclusively on this kind of cinema (fiction, documentary and hybrid films) and on creators from all over the world who experiment with new forms of storytelling.

The Greek Film Archive and the Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival join forces with ARTWORKS - a nonprofit organization that creates a fertile and nurturing environment for artists and filmmakers - for the inauguration of Reframing Images, a new competition section created for emerging filmmakers.

You can submit your films from today, until Wednesday, 21 August 2024* at: https://filmfreeway.com/AAGFF-GFA

Each director may enter only one film in the Reframing Images competition section.
