Stefan Stefan Djordjević’s feature debut, gently balancing between documentary and fiction, is a poetic reflection on loss and the invisible threads that hold a family’s memories together. The director returns to his family home to celebrate his grandmother’s birthday, following the recent death of his mother. Wanting to complete the film they had started together and rescue a stray dog, he experiences an inner journey of grief and reconciliation. At the lakeside camp where his mother once found solace, laughter mingles with silence, and nature ‒wind, water, trees‒ echoes her voice. It was honored with Best Film awards at the Sarajevo, Vancouver, and Valdivia film festivals.
