Internationally acclaimed directors focus on pressing social issues and introduce us to the current Finnish film scene with a fresh approach, from 21 until 27 March at the Greek Film Archive. A week full of national premieres, discussions and guest artists dedicated to Finland, presented for the first time ever in Greece.
The Finnish Film Week is organised by the Greek Film Archive, the Finnish Film Foundation and the Finnish Institute of Athens, with the support of the Finnish Embassy in Athens.
It includes 10 fiction and 3 documentary films that will be screened with Greek and English subtitles.
Directors Hanna Bergholm, Juho Kuosmanen and J-P Valkeapää will be present in Athens to introduce their films.
Additionally, there will be a round-table discussion titled "Making movies in Finland" on Saturday 23 March at 20:15. The discussion will take place in English.
