Summary He (Faidon Georgitsis), a young man as primitive and pure inside as nature, lives in the idyllic isolation of an island full of palm trees. She (Tzeni Karezi) is the wife of the general director of the Modernization Program who comes from the sinful town, intrudes his life and wants to be reborn through a passionate love. He and his fellow-villagers, pure people, free of the anxiety of the city, trying to remain faithful to the traditional values and customs, accept her and embrace her as a member of their community. She enjoys the gifts of mother nature: peace, purity and true love. However, the appearance of some enigmatic riders horrifies her, while the arrival of an uninvited lawyer coming from her past makes her betray those who trusted her. He may believe that she ignored him, but prefers to force back these thoughts, unable to accept that his love dream was blown out in an instance.
