Summary Evanthia is making a pie for St. Fanourios. She doesn’t keep to the traditional recipe, however, but adds a little something extra to make the pie more substantial. Thinking that she did the right things, since the Saint would like to see the poor with full bellies, she takes the pie to them. The poor, however, are not satisfied, and the pie ends up being eaten by stray dogs.
