Credits
The programme includes an outline of the plot, which is about a famous orchestra conductor who came back home in Poland and eventually lost his life because he refused to let his fellow citizens and the authorities exploit him. The programme draws a parallel between the conductor's return and the arrival in Poland of Pope John Paul II, in 1979. The presentation concludes with a quotation from the director: "Art serves the truth and there in no room for plots or intrigues".
