ΤΑΙΝΙΟΘΗΚΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ, ΜΙΚΡΗ ΛΕΣΧΗ (ΚΑΝΑΡΗ 1) - ΝΥΧΤΑ, Η
The programme is basically a brief retrospective of the directorial career of one of the architects of neo-realism and a great director: Michelangelo Antonioni. A brief presentation of all the cinematic creations of this giant of cinema, with comments, is also given. There is no extended reference to the film that is being played, with the exception of the last paragraph, where THE NIGHT and THE ECLIPSE are briefly presented. It highlights the “distant shots” and the “metaphysical agitation” that emerges “through every phrase and movement of his characters, who constantly wonder and self-analyze” and concludes that “every shot, every scene aims not at the sensibility but the intelligence of the viewer - and even beyond that his or her metaphysical agitation”.
