In his film “THE MOMENT OF TRUTH”, Francesco Rosi, through a wonderful mixture of images taken from documentaries on bull-fights, depicts the life of toreadors and their transition from glory to death. The “corrides”, the bull-fighting arenas, have inspired a number of writers and cinematographers, and have attracted the public’s attention. The programme concludes by mentioning that the film was presented at Cannes in 1964.
