The Victorian novel "THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE" was first made into a film in 1921 by Rex Engrand in the silent film era, starring the illustrious Rudolf Valentino.
In 1961, Vincente Minnelli made the novel again into a film, with the action taking place in World War II, instead of World War I Argentina, at it was originally conceived. "Minnelli's version, however, was unfavourably received by the critics who viewed it as the director's 'sin' and shared the fate of his earlier film Madame Bovary".
There is a list of all the cast, including Glen Ford and Ingrid Toullin.
