Richard Brooks' romantic love melodrama « THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS" was a huge success in the '50s. It is based on Scott Fitzgerald's book "ΒΑΒΥLON REVISITED" and is about a writer's love for a young American in Paris, starring the illustrious Van Johnson and Elisabeth Taylor. The note concludes with reference to Brooks' career, which began in the '40s when he was a famous scriptwriter. He first becomes known as a director in 1952 with the film "DEADLINE USA".
