The note refers to the plot of Reinhard Hauff's film "SLOW ATTACK" in detail: in his efforts to readapt to society after his release from prison, Nick Delman wants to publish his book but runs into difficulties. He is about to give up on his dream of becoming a writer and side up with an ex fellow prisoner to do one last "job", when he hears from a publishing company and changes his mind. His ex cell-mate goes ahead with the plan, is involved in a crash and dies in front of Nick's eyes. According to the critic, the issue the film raises is whether an artist can express himself through the art and develop as a free man or he submits to authority and cultural market, bound by the production methods and exploitation that underlie it.
There is detailed reference to the director's rich filmography.
