The Czechoslovakian cinema flourishes during 1960-1970 with an array of very important filmmakers, such as JIRI TRNKA, whose films won distinctions in international festivals. Some of these films are Carel Chellman's "TWO MUSKETEERS", Vera Kutilova's "ANOTHER WAY OF LIFE", Karel Kachyna 's "HOPE" and Oldrich Lipsky 's " LIMONADOVY JOE". This is a comedy that was a big international success and a parody of the cowboy, western and thriller film genres. The film is based on Yuri Brechka's romantic novel, which sold very well, was adapted for the theatre and then for the cinema. The programme concludes that "the film is a sharp satire of the western ethics, where the Bad is always defeated by the Good".
