Andrei Wadja 's "Rough Treatment" is about Terzy, a famous journalist who is gradually deprived of his most valuable possessions: his teaching post at the university, his prestige in the paper and his wife. He is doubted by the people around him and this leads to his social downfall. Terzy is no other than Wadja himself, who, after his film "MAN OF MARBLE", goes on a personal quest and identifies himself both sentimentally and existentially with his screen hero and discovers that "being true in art is, above all, being true to your feelings".
