Unable to complete his black-and-white film, director Friedrich Monro calls his friend and sound engineer Philip over to Lisbon to help him out. In response to Monro's message, Philip arrives in the capital of Portugal and goes searching for him. His roaming around town builds him up inside. Madredeus' superb music is most appropriate. The main theme of the film is the role of the media in depicting reality.
