ΤΑΙΝΙΟΘΗΚΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ, ΜΙΚΡΗ ΛΕΣΧΗ (ΚΑΝΑΡΗ 1) - MARINOS KONTARAS
It reports that the film is based on the homonymous work of A. Eftaliotis. The presentation begins with a few words about the life and work of G. Tzavellas and finishes with the observation that in the film the talented M. Katrakis is given the chance “to create a thrilling model of a fighter”. The program underscores the positive impressions left by the film, when it was shown in Brussels in 1948 at the Festival of Knok Le Zout (it is the first Greek participation in an international festival). It finishes with the information that a legendary form of competition has been brought to Greek cinematography for the first time.
