ΤΑΙΝΙΟΘΗΚΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ, ΜΙΚΡΗ ΛΕΣΧΗ (ΚΑΝΑΡΗ 1) - FACE TO FACE
The program, created by Aglaїa Mītropoulou, informs us from the beginning that the participation of the director in the production of the film helped him to express himself freely. Description of the plot of the film presenting a young, handsome and poor English teacher and his “bourgeois bitterness” and his “lost dreams”. Emphasis on the fact that the protagonist’s retreat in front of the employers provoke the feeling of “a rebellious bitterness” which is boosted by the “rhythmical” montage, the “apposite” narration and the photography from the pre dictatorship period in Athens. The program concludes with presentation of the film’s distinctions in the Thessalonica Film Festival.
