The program begins with the statement that the conveyance of tragedy by Kakogiannis is very balanced as its script resembles a “picture taken from the environment of the Athenian and Mycenaean scenery” and has “such a sequence of scenes that the internal rhythm of Euripides words are not disturbed”. Reference is made to the distance kept by the director from the National Theater’s traditions and presentation of the filmmaker’s opinion. The program concludes with a reference to the “incredible” performances of the actors, particularly of Irini Pappa, Aleka Katseli and Manos Katrakis.
