Short reference to biographical details and works of the director. Information on the source of inspiration of BIO-GRAPHY: Rentzis was so overwhelmed with the “lithographic book of ‘CHUMEZ’ catalogue ‘, a surrealistic novel full of lithography collages, that with the help of photographer Christos Magkos, he films BIO-GRAPHY which represents technical cinematic achievement for modern cinema”. The plot concerns the “urban cultural subconscious of the 19th century rendered by a series of myths demystified through the ‘scripts of life’. The myths are connected with the “element of personality” and “revive through lithographs” (gravures of the industrial period of 1849-1900). At the same time humans are free from myths. Finally, the program appraises the music of Stamatis Spanoudakis and the unexpected great response of the public.
