ΤΑΙΝΙΟΘΗΚΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ, ΜΙΚΡΗ ΛΕΣΧΗ (ΚΑΝΑΡΗ 1) - TRAGEDY OF THE AEGEAN
The program informs us that the film is a historic documentary which “researches the events that led Greece to the catastrophe of Asia Minor and then to the II World War”. V. Maros utilized the old “valuable” chronicles of Giorgos Prokopiou, Filopimena Finos, Joseph Hepp etc., with such a unique technique that “there are no directed scenes”. Also, it presents the views of the director himself and reference to the “funny” incident (as the program calls it) of prohibition of this “first historic and political movie of the Greek cinema” by the censorship, which was awarded with many distinctions inside and outside the Greek borders when it was finally projected.
