The program accentuates from the beginning the BIG PARADE, which, with the "realism of its writing and the intensity of its image", essentially established the name of C. Vintor. It refers to the plot of the film - describes the story of an American soldier in the First World War and of the "gigantic machine that tightens around him" - but also to specific scenes, highlighting the art and "versatility" of the director. The program exposes, however, also certain weaknesses of the film, like the "superficial handling" and its "emotionality".
