Servet Monts, a photographer, meets Nadine Chevallier, who earns her living by starring in cheap, soft porn movies. Trying to help her, he borrows some money from her in order to fund his stage production of "Richard the III" and gives her a part. Nadine is desperate as she finds herself between Servet whom she loves and her husband Jacques to whom she is morally obligated.
This is a love film, like so many others. Its particularity lies in the fact that it bears the post-revolutionary characteristic features of the '60s both in the handling, as well as in the interpretation of the theme.
