Lionel Rogosin is one of the representatives of the Underground cinema movement. His films like ON THE BOWERY (1956), COME BACK AFRICA, (1959), GOOD TIMES WONDERFUL TIMES (1966) are examples of his mark which prove that the "underground" cinema is involved with problems of the time in which these were shot. The GOOD TIMES WONDERFUL TIMES is an anti-war movie in which Rogosin is using the comparison in a shocking way. On the one hand we have a high society cocktail party in London, where the participants were shot without any rehearsals and preparations and on the other a journal of the Second World War in which is shown the horror that the people of the time experienced irrespective of what side they belonged to. This comparison is aimed at awakening and purifying the spectator.
