ΚΙΝΗΜΑΤΟΘΕΑΤΡΟ ΜΙΜΟΖΑ (Λευκωσία, Κύπρος) - WEEK OF GREEK CINEMA
Program for the “Greek Cinema Week”, organized jointly by the Cultural Service of the Ministry of Education and the Greek Film Archive, within the framework of the cultural collaboration between Greece and Cyprus at the “Mimosa” cinema in Nicosia,
The fly features a brief introductory note mentioning that the Greek cinema at its beginnings in 1912 followed a course analogous to that of other small countries, due to the lack of organization and financial means. Besides the creation of commercial films, under the command of producers who aimed at profit, at times creative directors also emerged, who followed contemporary trends. Those began with Orestis Laskos and Gaziadis, continued with Kakoyiannis, Koundouros, Tzavellas, Grigoriou and Manthoulis, and concluded with Angelopoulos, Voulgaris, Damianos, Panagiotopoulos and others.
It refers briefly to the schedule of the films to be shown, the directors and the dates of the screenings. Feature films: " EXCURSION " by Takis Kanellopoulos, “ANNA'S MATCH-MAKING” by Pantelis Voulgaris, “EVDOKIA” by Alexis Damianos, " THE COLOR OF IRIS” by Nikos Panagiotopoulos, "PROMETHEUS IN SECOND PERSON” by Kostas Ferris.
and the short feature film"LETTERS FROM AMERICA " by Lakis Papastathis, "RODA" by Theodoros Adamopoulos, "LINE" by Myrmiridis-Koutsouris, "SHHHT-TSOUF " by Theodoros Marangos.
