The cover of the program bears an announcement of the event organized jointly by the Greek Film Archive and the French Institute at Thessaloniki: the screening of Roger Vadim’s film “CIRCLE OF LOVE”.
The fly lists the film’s main contributors, while on the following page there is a note on the film and the director.
The note begins with a comparison between Vadim’s film to that of Max Ophuels (1950), as both directors adapt the well-known play by the Viennese Adolph Schnietzler into a film: Ophuels’ playfool view is balanced by the "ability of a director [Roger Vadim] who can aptly move his actors on camera".
The text is followed by a brief biography of Roger Vadim and a reference to his relationship with Brigitte Bardot, which spurred the producer Raul Levy to λανσάρει the couple Bardot-Vadim, which was to jointly create the film in question and, later, the well-known «AND GOD CREATED WOMAN » - a scandalous creation for its time, which marked the beginning of the Nouvelle Vague.
The note goes on to explain that the director’s career was as expected, though singling out his contribution in setting of three young actresses as symbols of sex: Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve and Jane Fonda.
The program ends with a reference to the director’s unsuccessful passage from Hollywood to his last films.
