The film programme dedicated to Ozou (the first European screening of his films) registers the Club's satisfaction for obtaining films of the great Japanese director. There are biographical notes and it is explained that the Japanese character and psychology of Ozou's films at first appealed to a limited audience. This obstacle was overcome and his audience extended with the advent of European productions along similar lines.
