The programme for the tribute to Georges Melies includes biographical notes and says that Melies bought Houdini's bankrupt theatre, introduced numerous novel tricks and met with great success. It says that the Lumières did not sell him their movie camera, but he built his own using other inventions about motion pictures and that he began producing fiction and mythmaking films and to attract more audience he invoked the Satan.
It talks about cinematic tricks that he invented and influenced the development of motion pictures. There is a note on the end of his life and a list of the films on the retrospective.
