ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ - 50 YEARS OF GREEK FILM ARCHIVES (1950-200). CINEMA'S ARK
The programme for The Ark of Cinema announces a celebration screening of restored films with musical accompaniment by Ch. Zerbinos and Val. Beikof. The notes by G. Veltsos refer to internal and external memories and to the Film Archives. The notes by I. T. Bollio refer to: Fiaf, the contribution of the Film Archives to the organization, Aglaia and Mona Mitropoulou and greetings from the board of directors. The text by Theodoros Adamopoulos “The Greek Film Archives – Past and Future” contains: the archives, workshop for conservation, restoration and safekeeping of films, screenings, film education, research-library-video-viewing room, museum, special editions, the movietheatre Laїs. Finally, it lists the founding members.Maria Komninou’s article “The Film Archives and Cooperation with European Archives” refers to: 1985, the institution of Cultural Capitals, the beginning of the Lumière Program, its goals and results, the Archimedia Program, cooperation with European universities and the valuable experience and modernization of the Film Archives. Then it contains articles by V. Georgakopoulou on St. Tatasopoulos and Joseph Hepp. It also has biographical information on the musicians and, finally, on the identity of the Film Archives.
