Poet Moondog (Matthew McConaughey) lives in Miami having fun. He writes on his old typewriter by the sea, reads his poems by offending the audience, makes jokes like a teenager, likes sex, booze and weed. He is an apolitical one-of-a kind type, at the same time tender but also cynical, who spends his time wasted on pleasures, even when things take unexpected turns.
