A micro–macroscopic journey into Jean-Luc Godard’s Atelier Rol, a space of light and shadow, a tree of thoughts, an inner forest of cinema. Fabrice Aragno and Jean-Paul Battaggia, his close collaborators, guide their camera through Godard’s “house of cinema”, among books, objects, notes, and fragments from his final films. In full fidelity to the equality of sound and image, the documentary composes a tender, almost painterly portrait of farewell to an indefatigable auteur.
