A soldier roams the streets of Athens on the first leave of his service. His wanderings in various places -cafes, taverns, brothels, parks- also captures the climate of Greek everyday life during the junta, in a documentary-styled short film that was shot partly in secret, as can be seen in the footage of Greek Military Police’s patrols. This is Frida Liappa’s first appearance in cinema. She made the film, which was produced by the influential film magazine “Modern Cinema”, then directed by film critic Vasilis Rafailidis, immediately after her release from prison where she was kept under the dictatorial regime.
