Summary A social melodrama in which a very poor student, who studies at the University with countless privations, faces a number of problems: familial, moral and social. He gets involved with a lively, modern young girl, a frequenter of the clubs, and follows with pain the shameless behavior of his sister, who is a singer and is rapidly going downhill. On the other hand, he stands by, as much as he can, his sick father, who is a switchman at a railroad crossing.
