Magic Lantern

Unknown origin or place of manufacture. This is a metal “lantern” which resembles similar ones manufactured by 'Benetfink of Cheapside, London E.C.' The body is of tin, and the lens has a copper cap. It can accommodate an electric projector bulb (possibly a later addition), which fits into a porcelain socket fitted with an "ACME", PATENT 183194-240261 copper ‘mount’. The socket is held in place by a metallic fitting on which "TRIUMPH" is engraved on its lower portion. The entire device holds a concave prism through which the projection bulb shines. Probably from the period 1905-1915.
