Magic Lantern

Unknown origin or place of manufacture. “6 inches” is inscribed on the lens cap. This is a metallic “lantern” which resembles similar ones made by 'Benetfink of Cheapside, London E.C.' The lacquered copper casing of the lens has a delicate “forward-back” lever for adjusting focal distance. On the outside of the base, “TRIUMPH" is inscribed on its lower portion, which holds a concave prism through which the projection bulb shines. It projects glass slides. Manufactured 1900-1910.
