The program informs us about the ‘birth’ of the idea for Dassen to convince Kazantzakis to film the novel JESUS IS RE CRUCIFIED. Continues with the positive reactions of Greeks during the filming and the participation of foreign actors and local residents. It admits that this revival of Jesus sacrifice in the Cretan countryside obviously divided the opinion of critics and adds the views of Kazantzakis about Jesus. We learn about the obstacles (mainly linguistic) that this film had to overcome and the length of it that subtracted the film’s charm. The extensive program concludes with the declaration that the views of the director and writer coincide as far as it concerns the statement that “the need of love goes along the demands of a sacrifice”.
