The program informs us that the film is a free adaptation of the novel “The number 31328” namely the peregrination of Ilias Venezis and “it does not constitute a historic essay or a representation or a chronicle”. On the contrary, while one of its advantages is the representation of the atmosphere of that time, it reminds us more of a ‘ballad about the atrocities of violence’. The program emphasizes the “scenes of itinerancy”, the ‘imposing sets” and the “disciplined” actors.
