ΤΑΙΝΙΟΘΗΚΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ, ΜΙΚΡΗ ΛΕΣΧΗ (ΚΑΝΑΡΗ 1) - VORTEX
The program starts mentioning the conception and realization of the film THE FACE OF THE MEDUSA which became VORTEX. It continues with explanation of the film plot, which concerns the “psychological research of the reasons why a man can kill his brother apart from the obvious motive of erotic jealousy”. The program states that the “delusive” environment and the interposition of clapperboard and of cameras “demystify the myth” on purpose. In concludes that the biggest part of the international critique did not manage to interpret this “existential message” that the film projected and that the film “suffered” a lot due to censorships.
