In the film DEADLINE USA Humphrey Bogart plays the role of a newspaper publisher that faces difficulties and is on the verge of closing down. In order to save his newspaper Bogart is thinking to start a campaign against mafia with the hope to increase sales. The battle between the publisher and mafia becomes cruel and pitiless.
The director Richard Brooks (through his strong and direct style) managed to film a movie of rare intensity and breathless suspense.
