The program informs us that this is the Italian version (1947) of the silent film by Clarens Brown (125), and adaptation of one of Puskin's short stories. It mentions, also, the "huge box office" success of the film, as it excited the audience with the adventures of the brave knight, who took action during the time of Katherine the Great.
