Brief presentation of Jourlini's film FAMILY CHRONICLE (or "The Diary of a Sinner"). This is the account of the life of a poor family during the years of fascism and war in Italy, which is forced, due to poverty, to give up a child for adoption. When the parents die later, the two brothers (Marcello Mastroianni and Jacques Peren), grown in a different environment and with different perceptions, will come together to feel the lost brotherly love, which will not last for long though, since death will put them apart forever. Through the evocative and lyrical atmosphere of the film and the wonderful performances of the actors, Jourlini manages to overcome the dry recording of facts imposed by the nature of a diary - chronicle and to highlight the internal world of his characters.
