Stuart Rosenberg's film "VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED", adapted from a book by Gordon Thomas and Max Morgan Autch, is based on true story: In May 1937, "Saint Lewis" leaves the Port of Hamburg for Cuba carrying 97 Jewish passengers. A German Nazi on board the ship keeps an eye on the captain and has made arrangements to meet German secret agents in Cuba. Aided by a superb cast, the director depicts the tragic events in World War II.
