Maniani, the evocative romantic realism of “Senso”, the film “White Nights”, Katina Paxinou in the film " Rocco and His Brothers", the decline and degradation of a class in " The Leopard", the lost dream of youth in " Sandra of a Thousand Delights", the actors he discovered, Camus, Dirk Bogart and the film " The Damned", catastrophic love in “Death in Venice”, the music of Mahler and the performance of Bogart, the passion and madness of “Ludwig”, and, finally, the last films of the almost-paralyzed Visconti: "Conversation Piece" and "The innocent".
